Stone set in land that holds it for generations.
From a single garden sculpture to a sequence of stone features that structure an estate over years — each commission is read from the site first, and the material follows.

Documented in place, across seasons.
Private work at Groundmark is not contract fabrication. Every piece carries the studio's reading of stone — its weight, its grain direction, how it weathers where you are planting it.
We read the site before we read the brief. Patina, seasonal shadow, and the eventual claim of the landscape on the stone are built into the commission from the first conversation.
A position in every stone, not a service on request.
Work is documented with the same rigour as our civic commissions — photographed in place, not in a studio, returned to as the seasons change.
Every private commission begins with the site.
Tell us where the work will live. We answer commission enquiries within five working days and arrange a site visit before any proposal is made.
